Act on Technical Requirements for Products and Conformity Assessment

Scope of national rule
This Ordinance applies to Radio equipment.
Main requirements that the business user needs to know about
The following essential requirements are applicable to RE equipment:
- requirements relating to the protection of the health and the safety of the user and any other person, including safety requirements contained in a special regulation governing the field of electric equipment intended to be used within certain voltage limits, but with no voltage limit applying,
- the protection requirements with respect to electromagnetic compatibility contained in a special regulation governing the field of electromagnetic compatibility,
- requirements relating to the construction and production of radio equipment which effectively uses the spectrum allocated to terrestrial/space radio communication and orbital resources so as to avoid harmful interference,
- other requirements, such as requirements relating to the possibility of work via networks with other apparatus and connection to interfaces of the appropriate type, the protection of electronic communications networks against abuse, disturbances or unacceptable degradation of service, the protection of personal data and privacy of the user and of the subscriber, the ensuring of avoidance of abuse and fraud, the ensuring of access to emergency services, and certain features in order to facilitate use by users with a disability, in accordance with the applicable decisions of the European Commission.
