Main requirements that the business user needs to know about
Article 96
Milk buckets and tankers must be made from stainless steel or from appropriate plastic materials which meet the requirements from articles 32 through 71 of this Regulation, and they must be made in a way which allows for easy cleaning, washing and disinfection.
Finished products from paragraph 1 of this article must be closed only using lids with sealants which meet the requirements set out in articles 32 through 71 of this Regulation.
Article 97
Other metal packaging (tankers, containers, crates, baskets, boxes, bottles, barrels etc.) whose inner surfaces come into direct contact with the food must be protected with health-safe metal coating or polymer material which does adversely affect the organoleptic properties and chemical composition of the food and does not increase the heavy metals values for which permitted values are set out by other regulations.
