Scope of national rule

This Ordinance applies to the following products:

(a) machinery;

(b) interchangeable equipment;

(c) safety components;

(d) lifting accessories;

(e) chains, ropes and webbing;

(f) removable mechanical transmission devices;

(g) partly completed machinery.

 

Main requirements that the business user needs to know about

Machinery may be placed on the market and / or put into service only if it satisfies the relevant provisions of the Ordinance and does not endanger the health and safety of persons and, where appropriate, domestic animals or property, when properly installed and maintained and used for its intended purpose or under conditions which can reasonably be foreseen.

Partly completed machinery can be placed on the market only if it satisfies the relevant provisions of this Ordinance.

Inspection of conformity of machinery or partially completed machinery is carried out by:

(a) market inspectors - for machinery on the market

(b) occupational safety inspectors - for machinery in use

(c) agricultural inspectors - for machinery in use used for the application of pesticides

 

National rule

  • When machines are placed on the market and / or put into use in the territory of the Republic of Croatia, all written or oral information and warnings must be in Croatian and Latin script, and on request in any other official language or languages of the European Union understood by the operator. In the territory of the Republic of Croatia, instructions must be in the Croatian language and Latin script.
  • The declaration of conformity must contain, inter alia, the name and address of the person authorized to draw up the technical documentation, established in the Republic of Croatia and / or the European Union.
