Scope of national rule

This Ordinance shall apply to electrical equipment designed for use with a voltage rating of between 50 and 1 000 V for alternating current and between 75 and 1 500 V for direct current, other than the equipment and phenomena listed in Annex II.

 

Main requirements that the business user needs to know about

Electrical equipment may be made available on the market only if, having been constructed in accordance with good engineering practice in safety matters in force in the Union, it does not endanger the health and safety of persons and domestic animals, or property, when properly installed and maintained and used in applications for which it was made.

The principal elements of the safety objectives are listed in Annex I.

 

National rule

  • Contact details of manufacturers, importers must be in Croatian. Manufacturers must ensure that electrical equipment is accompanied by instructions and safety data in Croatian.
  • The EU declaration of conformity must be in Croatian.
